Reality check

Reality check is a difficult job. Here, no cheating is allowed. It reminds of the often repeated statements of school teachers: ‘Please do not copy students. If you do so, you are cheating yourself’. I never understood the meaning of the term ‘cheating yourself’.

But when I have to confront reality, I have to close the virtual escape routes. I need to take out the books from the library and see how the current situation is. But just observation and analysis isn’t sufficient. There also has to be concrete action I need to take. Otherwise in reality I am static.
